6 December 2007

A new website has been set up by the TUC with the help of a famous Eastern European trade union to give advice to the thousands of Polish migrant workers in the South West.

It has linked up with Solidarnosc (Solidarity) and the Citizens Advice Bureau to launch www.pracawbrytanii.org. The site explains the rights workers can expect at work, from the minimum wage and working time to holiday entitlement and sick pay; information about social issues such as housing and health; and guidance about what living and working in the UK is really like.

More information for migrant workers and their employers can be found in the Employers section of the RLN SW website.
