Last chance to vote for your favourite LAFTAs video

11 September 2008

With the deadline for the LAFTAs People’s Vote approaching fast, this is your last chance to choose which shortlisted video clip should be awarded a special prize at the LAFTAs Ceremony later this month. The voting will close on 14 September, and the winner will be announced along with the other winning clips on 25 September, the eve of the European Day of Languages.

The People’s Vote has seen over 15,000 votes so far, but it will be the votes received over the next few days which will decide who will win the year’s worth of cinema vouchers offered by Multilingualvacancies.com.

The Languages and Film Talent Awards (LAFTAs) invited young people aged 13-21 to make two-minute videos showing why languages are important. All 160 videos received through the course of the competition are available on Youtube and provide a unique resource for teachers and careers advisors who can use the clips to get pupils thinking about the value of languages.
