22 May 2008

Managers of SMEs and entrepreneurs with an interest in the Chinese market and a strong business background are being invited to apply for the EU-China Managers Exchange and Training Programme (METP).

Launched in July 2006, METP is an intergovernmental cooperation project between the EU and China in the field of international trade. It aims to enhance business expertise by developing European and Chinese human resources.

Participants receive seven months of full-time Chinese language training at the University of International Business and Economics, in Beijing, as well as attending intercultural training seminars and workshops and undergoing a three-month internship to gain work experience in a Chinese environment.

The application deadline for the next round of METP (which will begin in October 2008) is 1 June 2008, so if you are an EU National, aged between 26 and 40, with a long-term career orientation towards China, this programme could be the next big step for you.

To find out more information or to apply for the programme please visit the METP website.
