Languages Work, a project created by CILT, the National Centre for Languages, has created a range of support material for pupils, students and teachers. Its aim is to raise awareness of the true value of languages in the workplace and beyond. You can download the factsheets below in pdf format.

	Spanish skills (1.35 MB pdf file) Using Spanish at work and play is aimed primarily at KS4 students, although Year 9 students and sixthformers will also find the factsheet useful. Socio-economic data, case studies of people using the language in their work and activities illustrate how Spanish skills may impact upon career opportunities and how Spanish is relevant to us all no matter what your interests.
	Mixing it up (1.6 MB pdf file) A comprehensive factsheet aimed at older students, providing case studies, information and advice on combining a language with other degree options at university.
	Mind your language: How languages can work for you (550 kb pdf file) This factsheet presents the facts and arguments for learning foreign languages to pupils aged 10 to 14.
	Work talk: a guide to languages and careers (260 kb pdf file) This factsheet contains further sources of information for older students, careers advisers, teachers, parents and others looking for career pathways with languages.
